Air Cooler

Air Cooler
KEMEX’s air coolers are used to reduce the temperature of the gases before they enter into the spout baghouses.

KEMEX air coolers consist of a set of vertically mounted pipes. The gas to be cooled is passed through it and, in turn, a current of ambient air pushed by a set of fans is made to pass crossways over these pipes, thus effecting the desired cooling.
The gas to be cooled is made to circulate downward, so that any dust carried by the gases is deposited in a lower hopper.
This is extracted from the hopper using an auger, alveolar valve or flow control gate.

Design features:

• Manufactured from carbon or stainless steel
• Low load loss
• Low maintenance cost
• Flows up to 200,000 Nm3/h.

Application:

Air-to-air coolers are used to reduce the temperature of kiln gases in cement works.
